Playing guitar and singing in the dark after a good hour or two of
watching a sunset and reading a book is one of my favorite ways to spend
an evening that ends around 9:30 when I get ready for bed. Also, not turning on lights after dark is preferable at this point in the year. So many outside lights act as nightlights.
Given my propensity to loneliness, I am amazed at how much I love a quiet evening. I have not yet gotten to the point where I can watch a movie by myself in the new place. My living room requires more people to feel cozy than does the sunroom, and the callouses on the ends of my fingers remind me to sit and ruminate rather than sit and vegetate.
